"Thank you for you card & good wishes for the festive season just past. I have had no tidings whatever of Mr. Carmody. Just before Whitsuntide I passed through Stratford on Avon on my bicycle en route for Warwick & Coventry. I hope to have visited Belgium last spring but my companion failed me. He is proposing another Normandy tour. Wishing you a happy & prosperous 1914. A.G.C."
