I had forgotten how much the library had to offer until one summer day I took my boys to the library for something to do. By a happy accident, we came on a Wednesday and experienced story time. We were instantly hooked! Melanie Goad, the children's librarian, captivated her audience with the stories she read, the games she played, and the craft project that followed story time. It's a blast!
Since that day, visits to the Pope County Library and with Melanie Goad have been part of our weekly routines. We are regulars at the Wednesday Story Time and Friday Sensory Story Time. Melanie has been an invaluableresource. No matter the subject I am looking for, for example children'sbooks on emotions, she finds a treasure trove of resources for me. She has also brought the mobile library to AMOM (A Meeting of Minds), an autism support group in Russellville, and connected parents to books and resources on inclusion, acceptance, anxiety, self-esteem, emotions, and anti-bullying.
I recommend the Pope County Library.
Don't forget to donate your old books to the library!
